Jesse Schneider, Litigation + Dispute Resolution partner, Gary Kibel, Privacy + Data Security partner, and Charles Mileski, Real Estate partner will speak on three workshop panels at the 2023 Innovating Commerce Serving Communities (ICSC) U.S Law Conference on October 25-27.
Session Overviews
Jesse Schneider will co-lead a workshop titled, “Litigators’ Advice for Remedies.” This session will focus on opening covenants, radius and use restrictions, late delivery of the premises, co-tenancy, exclusive use violations, and tenant self-help provisions.
Jesse’s session will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2:15 – 3:15 pm
Gary Kibel will help lead a “Peer to Peer” session, “Ever-Increasing Legal and Ethical Obligations.” New privacy laws are continually being enacted and they have a real impact on the retail and real estate industries. In addition, lawyers themselves are subject to certain ethical requirements when it comes to privacy, cybersecurity and client confidentiality. This workshop will focus on how these new laws and obligations impact both clients and lawyers.
Gary’s session will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 3:30 – 4:30 pm
Charles Mileski will co-lead a workshop titled, “Street Retail: What’s the Word on the Street?” This program will focus on an overview and discussion of “street retail,” provide characteristics of street retail that distinguish it from other forms of retail real estate and discuss unique issues currently being faced by landlords and tenants of street retail in the post-pandemic world.
Charles’ session will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2:45 – 3:45 pm
