Davis & Gilbert Labor & Employment attorneys, Gregg A. Gilman and Daniel A. Feinstein, will participate in the Marcus Evans 2nd Annual Employment and Labor Conference on June 7-8, in Arlington, VA.
Gregg A. Gilman, Partner/Co-chair, will speak at a session titled, "Overview of the Changing Landscape of Employment Law," which takes place on June, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. 12:15 p.m. The session will discuss:
- Uncovering present and future initiatives employers can expect from Congress and the Obama Administration
- Insights on new state laws and initiatives such as non-competes, compensation, contingent workers
- Assessing key decisions in the U.S. supreme court that are changing the employment law landscape
Daniel A. Feinstein, Partner, will speak later that same day as part of a panel titled, "Exploring and Dealing with Termination and Retaliation." Mr. Feinstein's session will take place from 2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Mr. Feinstein and his co-panelists will review how to:
- Develop a clear and effective performance evaluations system
- Evaluate and defend termination programs
- Reduce litigation risk through enforceable waivers and releases
