Jeffrey C. Katz is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert.  He represents numerous companies and individuals in connection with trademark and copyright matters and licensing.

Mr. Katz has extensive experience in the areas of domestic and international trademark clearance, registration, maintenance, policing and enforcement, and license agreements. Mr. Katz regularly counsels clients on issues relating to selection of marks, searching, registration, policing, enforcement proceedings (administrative and judicial), use of trademarks in comparative advertising, and use and protection of trademarks on the Internet.  He is also heavily involved with domain name protection and enforcement proceedings.

Mr. Katz been recognized as a leading lawyer for intellectual property: trademark & copyright law for four consecutive years by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2013-2016).

  • Assisted Harpo Productions producer of the Oprah Winfrey Show in protecting TV, radio, Internet and publishing interests in the United States and internationally.
