Maxine Sharavsky Garrett is an associate in the Advertising, Marketing & Promotions; Entertainment, Media & Sports; Intellectual Property; and Digital Media, Technology & Privacy Practice Groups of Davis & Gilbert. She represents advertising agencies, digital and traditional media outlets, entertainment companies and advertisers in connection with various aspects of advertising, marketing, intellectual property and entertainment law. Her practice includes reviewing advertising content; drafting and negotiating advertising agreements, talent agreements and intellectual property license agreements; counseling on copyright, trademark, right of publicity and privacy matters; and advising on the use of social media in advertising.
Prior to joining Davis & Gilbert, Ms. Garrett was an intellectual property attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she advised clients in a variety of industries on intellectual property protection and licensing matters and the intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions. While in law school, she interned at Razor & Tie Direct LLC, a New York City-based record label and music publishing company.
Prior to law school, Ms. Garrett was a managerial associate at IMG Artists LLC, representing a range of performing artists in connection with their booking, touring and publicity activities.
